General Factors
General cognitive assistive factors are associated with documenting and structuring all learning materials and are considered to be part of best practice.
General cognitive assistive factors are:
- clearly defined learning objectives at the beginning of each resource block
- responsive and positive feedback for all formative assessment tasks
- consolidation of material in the form of summaries at the end of each resource block
- search mechanisms that are mentally efficient and perpetually available.
